Mari K. Normyle serves as an associate consultant with Noel-Levitz from her position as assistant dean at Lynchburg College (VA). With more than twenty-five years of higher education experience, Ms. Normyle has held positions in admissions, adult education, program development and grants administration at both public and private four-year institutions. In her current position, she provides leadership in the area of academic and career services, including first-year programs, learning resources (including services for students with disabilities), academic advising, career development, internships, and study abroad.
At Lynchburg College, Ms. Normyle has helped create a comprehensive first-year program built on peer leadership, expand learning resources, develop a successful academic recovery program, design and implement new courses focusing on career decision making, expand the available range of paid internships, and increase the number of students studying abroad. Previously, Ms. Normyle served as director of enrollment and director of the ACCESS (adult learner) program. She is a member of Kappa Delta Pi, Omicron Delta Kappa, NACADA, NODA, NAFSA, NASPA, and ACPA. She regularly presents at regional and national conferences on such areas as peer mentor/leadership programs, collaborative strategies between student and academic affairs, and program development to improve student success.
Ms. Normyle earned her M.Ed. in English education from Lynchburg College and is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in higher education administration at the University of Virginia. |
