Margaret Au Brown is Executive Vice President of CIT Healthcare Outpatient. She is responsible for overseeing Healthcare’s efforts in all the Ancillary Services Medical Devices and Distribution and Outpatient Services sectors.

Prior to joining CIT as part of the founding leadership team for the Healthcare business Brown was the Managing Director and Team Leader for GE Healthcare Financial Services’ Strategic Relationship Group. This team of five professionals focused on the large not-for-profit hospital systems and was GE HFS’s most senior sales team.
From 1988 to 2001 Brown was a senior banker at Citigroup. First as Citibank’s Health Care Finance head and senior credit officer she oversaw Citi’s efforts in achieving number one rankings in healthcare debt financings in 1999 (Loan Pricing Corp/Gold Sheets). As a Managing Director in Salomon Smith Barney’s Health Care Investment Banking group she was responsible for the services and provider sectors from 1999 to 2001. While there Brown led the first two European IPOs of healthcare companies and won financing mandates from HCA Tenet Triad and Foundation Health (HealthNet).
Brown began her banking career in 1978 in California as a management trainee at Union Bank in Los Angeles and became a healthcare banker in 1984 at the Bank of Boston. She received a BA in Political Science from the University of California at Los Angeles.
