Ms. Paget is a Partner in our Litigation Department and Chair of the firm's Employment Law Practice Group. She represents both businesses and individuals in all phases of civil litigation, concentrating her practice in employment and business litigation. She practices before both state and federal courts, the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, in arbitration and mediation. Her representative litigation experience includes:
Employment discrimination and wrongful termination claims;
Non-competition, non-solicitation and confidentiality agreements;
Nonpayment of wage disputes;
Shareholder disputes in closely held corporations; and
Legal malpractice.
Our clients consult with Ms. Paget on a range of issues that arise in employment relationships, including hiring and firing, negotiating employment contracts, drafting and enforcing non-competition, non-solicitation and confidentiality agreements, creating and implementing personnel policies and employee handbooks, investigating and addressing complaints of workplace harassment and handling employee performance problems.
Ms. Paget has written and lectured extensively on employment issues for the Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly, the Boston Bar Journal, the Massachusetts Law Review, Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education and the Suffolk Journal of Trial and Appellate Advocacy.
Before joining Sherin and Lodgen LLP, Ms. Paget served as Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Boston Law Department.
Ms. Paget earned her B.A. from Oberlin College and her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law, Boston. She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. She is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Boston Bar Association. She also serves on the Advisory Board of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce Women's Network.
Prior to entering law school, Ms. Paget served in the Peace Corps, living and working on the island of Dominica, West Indies. |
