Marek Rychlik leads all Qbit research and software development activities. As a researcher in academia, Marek Rychlik earned tenure and became a full Professor of Mathematics at a Research One University, the University of Arizona. In the past, Dr. Rychlik served on the faculty of the University of California, Berkeley and the University of Washington, Seattle. He was also a Visiting Member of the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, NJ. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, in mathematics. Since then he has done research in Chaos Theory, Computational Algebraic Geometry and Convex Geometry. He is a recipient of the Monroe Martin Prize for and outstanding paper in Applied Mathematics, as well as several National Science Foundation grant awards. In 1997 he solved the famous Equichordal Point Problem which remained unsolved since 1916. He also authored numerous software packages, with many users in academic, educational and commercial settings. |
