Marcus has over ten years of operations management and consulting experience in strategic sourcing, manufacturing, supply chain logistics, and contract / pricing strategy development and implementation. Prior to joining Synaptic Decisions, Marcus was a Principal Consultant and the Director of Operations Performance at EDS MRO Management Solutions. With more than $1 billion in spend under management, this company provided full service supply chain outsourcing to Fortune 100 companies of indirect materials with integrated strategy, consulting, procurement, sourcing and distribution capabilities. In his roles at EDS MRO Management Solutions, he was responsible for designing and implementing operational solutions for new and existing clients, ensuring integrity of IT integration with client systems, managing inventory and logistics operations across client sites and MRO distribution hubs, and measuring overall operational performance of the business. Before EDS, Marcus was an Experienced Associate at A.T. Kearney Management Consultants where he provided strategic sourcing, manufacturing, go-to-market and IT strategy consulting services across automotive, express delivery, manufacturing, medical, retail, telecommunications, and waste management industries. While at A.T. Kearney, he led consultant and client teams which delivered bottom-line savings of tens of millions of dollars and strategies that drove double-digit revenue growth. Marcus was also an active duty naval aviator. While in the service, he piloted the MH-53 Sea Dragon and led an aircraft maintenance division. He currently holds his commercial fixed-wing and rotary-wing pilot licenses. Marcus received his MBA from the University of Texas at Austin as a Conn’s Foundation Scholar with a focus in Operations Management. He is also a graduate of the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis where he received a Bachelor of Science in Physics and was honored as a Distinguished Graduate (for his ranking of 45th of 1059) and a Designee for Faculty in Physics and Economics. |
