As a director of the firm’s consumer practice, Marcus works with real estate and travel industry clients including ZipRealty and Best Western International. With a background in broadcast journalism, Marcus’ strengths include media relations and product promotion. Recent placements include prominent stories in the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, NBC Nightly News and CNBC. Prior to joining Allison & Partners, he worked with Ketchum Public Relations’ San Francisco office for such clients as Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream and Clorox laundry products.
Marcus previously spent five years at New York-based Vorhaus & Company, where he managed the agency’s cornerstone account, Domino’s Pizza, and played a key role in successfully launching the Domino’s Philly Cheese Steak Pizza, a program that earned a Bulldog Award of Excellence. During his tenure at Vorhaus, Marcus worked with various accounts across multiple industries including the Buick Motor Division, Zipcar, Breyers Ice Cream and a myriad of privately funded technology companies.
Marcus began his career as a local-market television reporter for cable networks in Athens, Georgia and Agana, Guam. He received a B.A. in broadcast journalism from the Grady College of Journalism at the University of Georgia. |
