Marcia is an executive recruiter at the firm, specializing in placing executives in entertainment, media, consumer products and technology. In 1995 the Hollywood Reporter named Basichis as one of the Power 50 women in the entertainment industry. As Senior Vice President of Spelling Television, she headed Series, Movies and Miniseries Development, initiating and shepherding groundbreaking television series, including Beverly Hills 90210 and Melrose Place. Her television network experience includes several years as an executive at ABC Entertainment, where she was the original executive on Dynasty, and CBS Television Network. Technology and its impact on the entertainment industry inspired Marcia s foray into the Dot Com world, where she was a key member of the team that launched one of the first live video streaming companies on the Internet. Subsequently she worked to revolutionize business processes in the entertainment industry as Vice President of both a digital rights and an enterprise software company. A member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, she has served on its Executive and Awards Committees. |
