Marc Lefar is chief marketing officer for AT&T's wireless operations, responsible for all aspects of marketing direction and execution.
Lefar leads marketing strategy, wireless advertising and media, customer lifecycle management, product management, national promotions and pricing.
Over his career, Lefar has developed a unique blend of marketing, financial, and operational expertise. He has extensive experience in the telecommunications industry, beginning with GTE Wireless, where he held local and regional management leadership positions before becoming vice president of Marketing. After GTE's merger with Bell Atlantic to form Verizon, Lefar became Vice President of E-Commerce and Wireless Data for Verizon Wireless, leading the development and launch of their first national Internet service.
Before joining AT&T, Lefar served as the Chief Marketing Officer of Cable and Wireless Global, where he was responsible for all aspects of marketing across more than a dozen countries.
Lefar began his career at Procter & Gamble. During his nine years at P&G, he held positions of increasing responsibility in both finance and brand management in the U.S. and Eastern Europe.
A native of New Jersey, Lefar has a B.S. in Commerce from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.
