Marc Kekicheff has seventeen years experience in secure smart card technology and prior to that, ten years of experience in networks and real-time computing. He is currently the Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors for GlobalPlatform Consortium, a Director on the Board of Managers for EMVCo Consortium as well as Vice-President of Product Technology at Visa International. He is also the Chair of the Card Approval Working Group for EMVCo, GlobalPlatform’s Liaison to the International Standards Organization (ISO) and was until last year, during 5 years, Technical Director (~ CTO) of GlobalPlatform and Chair of GlobalPlatform’s Card Committee. He serves these different EMVCo and GlobalPlatform responsibilities with strong leadership and consensus building skills while at the same time protecting Visa’s long term interests and competitive edge. Within Visa International, Marc currently leads a team of 10 staff in charge of technology compliance for smart card: contact and contactless, cards and terminals. Marc is a highly recognized smart card expert worldwide, well acquainted with IT security and author of several patents. Over the last twelve years, he has relentlessly driven and continues to drive forward the development of smart card technology, worldwide standards and compliance programs. A native Frenchman, Marc’s background is in software development and project management in both networks, real-time computing and micro-processors. He has a Masters degree from the Sorbonne University in Paris. |
