Since co-founding Mercury Payment Systems, Marc Katz has led the company through seven consecutive years of unprecedented growth. Originally masterminding Mercury’s technology component as the chief architect for new product development and strategy, he was instrumental in cultivating and maintaining relationships with developer partners as they integrated Mercury’s innovative transaction processing applications. Now, as CEO, Katz not only continues to drive technological development, but also directs Mercury’s continued success as a leader in integrated payment processing, card data security compliance, and point-of-sale reseller support. Katz has been actively involved with high-tech businesses for 25 years. From 1982 to 1991, he co-owned Graphicus, Inc., a Seattle-based software development firm, and in 1992 founded Durango Computer, a technology training and consulting firm. In 2001, he joined his brother, Jeffrey, to form Mercury Payment Systems. Katz holds a degree in computer science from the State University of New York at Buffalo. |
