Prior to his involvement in the start-up of THINKFilm, Marc was most recently the Vice President of the Home Entertainment division of Lions Gate Films, where he was employed since April 1998. Marc's responsibilities at Lions Gate encompassed all matters of finance and operations related to Lions Gate's video and DVD activities. During Marc's tenure, the division evolved from a $15 million division to a $70 million one, fuelled by the fast-paced growth of three new US businesses (Sterling Home Entertainment, Avalanche Home Entertainment and Eaton Entertainment) and two Canadian video labels operating under his purview.
Prior to his entrance into the film industry, Marc qualified as a Chartered Accountant and trained with a "Big Six" firm in Toronto. Bringing the benefit of his experience in finance and operations to THINKFilm, as well as his finely-honed instincts for business and the "bottom line", the purview of Marc's responsibilities at the company ranges widely. Not only does he administer all aspects of the Velocity Home Entertainment division -- from the management of its staff, to its marketing and sales, to his direct involvement with its major accounts and vendors -- but Marc also oversees all financial and operational matters. |
