Marc Destito has a broad range of communications experience in both the public and private sectors. He currently works on a variety of public affairs accounts, providing strategic, crisis and international communications expertise. Some of his clients include leading trade associations and government influencers such as the Beer Institute, the national trade association for the brewing industry, and the Comité Interprofessionel du Vin de Champagne (CIVC), the trade association representing the Champagne region of France. Prior to joining CLS, Mr. Destito worked as a communications strategist and media relations spokesperson for domestic and international clients at a boutique public relations firm in Washington, D.C. Before this, he served as International Trade and Protocol Specialist with the New Jersey Department of Commerce, Division of International Trade, and as Special Assistant to the Governor during the Governor’s Trade Mission to the Republic of Mexico in 1998. In 2001, Mr. Destito joined the international marketing team at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, working to streamline Centrum product formulas in Canada and expand the presence of Advil, Chapstick and Centrum brands throughout the Asia/Pacific and Latin America regions. Mr. Destito earned a B.S. in International Politics and International Security Studies at Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service and earned a certificate in French Communication and European Politics at the Institut de Touraine in Tours, France. He has lived and traveled extensively throughout Mexico and Latin America and speaks fluent French and Spanish. |
