Mr. Berger is a Principal in the Real Estate Practice Group, he has more than 25 years of experience advising real estate and homebuilding related firms on strategic alternatives, financial restructurings and corporate finance transactions. He has extensive expertise in single family and multifamily development including, acquisitions, dispositions, valuations, restructurings and project and entity financings. Mr. Berger has led capital formation activities through private placements and public offerings of debt and equity securities, conventional project, entity and joint venture financing with both national and international clients. He is a seasoned retail specialist with experience in strategic planning, implementation, leasing, financing and restructuring in various retail sectors including entertainment, high volume food service, recreation and traditional chain retail. Mr. Berger also has private and public experience in valuation, acquisition, disposition, merger, LBO, joint ventures and company formation. Prior to joining XRoads Solutions Group, Mr. Berger served as CEO of X-SCAPES LLC, a holding company, with businesses in high-end residential design/build landscape and pool construction. Programs and services were delivered through and in cooperation with public and private homebuilding companies. He was a Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he was the Director of West Region Real Estate Consulting and global real estate E business. Mr. Berger was also a partner with Arthur Andersen and responsible for their real estate advisory services practice in the Western region, as well as a Senior Manager with Kenneth Leventhal and Company. Mr. Berger has an MBA with a concentration in Real Estate Finance and a BA in Economics. In addition, he has been a licensed Real Estate Broker in California since 1984 and also holds a California C-53 Contractors License. |
