Marc J. Luxemburg is Chairman of the firm's Real Estate Department. He specializes in real estate law, cooperative and condominium law, and civil litigation. Mr. Luxemburg is admitted to practice law in the state of New York, and before the Supreme Court of the United States. He received an A.B. degree from Harvard University (1960) and a law degree from Columbia Law School (1963) where he was an editor of the Law Review. Mr. Luxemburg received the distinction of being named a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar in 1961. Prior to joining Snow Becker Krauss P.C., he was associated with the law firm of Dewey Ballantine Bushby Palmer & Wood. Mr. Luxemburg is a recognized authority on the law relating to cooperatives and condominiums, with emphasis on representation of the Board of Directors or Managers. He is the President of the Council of New York Cooperatives. Mr. Luxemburg has taught numerous seminars on the legal aspects of operating cooperatives, and on the role of the Board of Directors. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association (Member, Committee on Condominiums and Cooperatives, Real Estate Section) and the American Bar Association. |
