Manfred Seitz is chairman, president and chief executive officer of the Robert Bosch Tool Corporation, overseeing all activities within the Bosch power tools, Skil power tools, accessories and Dremel divisions. He was appointed in March 2004.
Manfred Seitz's career with Bosch has been long and varied, and he has extensive experience of the different divisions that make up the Bosch Group.
Born in Frankfurt, Manfred joined Bosch in 1977 after studying for an economics degree at university. His career began in the Blaupunkt division where he worked in various marketing and international sales roles before becoming marketing director for the division in domestic sales in 1991.
He was then appointed senior vice president of the Bosch telecoms division in Germany between 1994 and 1997, and from October 1997 to September 2001, he was managing director of Robert Bosch (Southeast Asia) in Singapore.
In November 2001, Manfred Seitz took up the position of managing director for distribution and finance at the UK headquarters of Bosch in Denham. There he was responsible for the power tools, including Skil, Dremel and accessories,
as well as Blaupunkt and the automotive aftermarket business. |
