Manfred Richter was appointed vice president of operations at FUJIFILM Medical Systems USA, Inc. in 2001. In this role he oversees all of the organization's service operations, including all integration and professional service activities for Fuji's products.
Richter joined Fuji in 1999 as managing director of operations. During his tenure in his current position, he has been instrumental in building a support organization for Fuji's Synapse® PACS following the product's initial commercial release.
An electrical engineer from Berlin, Germany, Richter began his career as a field service engineer with the medical branch of Siemens AG in West Berlin. During his 27 years with the company, Richter advanced through the ranks, holding a number of prominent positions. During the 1970s he was transferred to the United States as a support engineer, and subsequently advanced from the field service management level to become a national service manager with Siemens Medical Systems. In this position Richter was responsible for various product divisions including x-ray, vascular, CT and MRI. In 1992 Richter was promoted to vice president of worldwide service for Siemen's ultrasound division in Issaquah, Washington, and was then later appointed vice president of operations and logistics for this division, the position he held prior to joining Fuji. |
