After having completed a one-year assignment as the staffing and recruiting administrator for Bechtel Business Services, I am currently devoted to various projects within HR operations. For instance, as we are in the process of upgrading our human resources management system, my current focus is testing of various transactions in the new system. The biggest challenge associated with this particular project is the assimilation of a great quantity of information and processes in a very short period of time.
All five of my assignments at Bechtel have provided me the opportunity to practice and build on the HR knowledge I gained through school and HR certification (Professional in Human Resources). My best assignment so far was in Service and Retirement Awards, where, under excellent leadership, I honed my project management skills through the development and implementation of a new service award program. We helped improve the quality of the gift selection offered to our awardees while decreasing our overall cost.
