Malcolm Bond has been Executive Vice President, Global Operations for The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. since July 2004. In this role he directs Global Procurement, Manufacturing and Logistics, Corporate Sales, Employee Health and Safety, and Retail Store Operations for all of the Company’s brands.
Distinguishing himself in roles of growing responsibility, Mr. Bond has managed an increasingly complex operations infrastructure to deliver expert and efficient support for the changeable market realities of the beauty business. From 2000 to 2004, he served as Senior Vice President, Global Operations, overseeing Global Distribution, Supply Chain Planning and Inventory Management, in addition to Manufacturing and Procurement and the Focus Factories. A British subject, he relocated to the United States in 1997 to become Vice President of Focus Factories. He began his career with The Estée Lauder Companies in 1995 as General Manager for Whitman Laboratories in the United Kingdom.
Mr. Bond’s experience in the cosmetics industry began in 1976 when he joined Yardley of London as a Production Line Manager. In 1978 he was hired by Revlon International, where he held a series of positions of increasing responsibility, including General Manager of U.K. Operations from 1985 to 1990 and Vice President of Operations for Europe, the Middle East and Africa from 1990 to 1992. From 1993 until 1995, he served as Operations Director, Europe, for Alberto Culver.
Mr. Bond was educated in the U.K. where he studied Mechanical Engineering at the South Bank University in London and Business Studies at Polytechnic of Wales. He is married to Margaret and they have four children. |
