Dr. MacNab received his M.D. and Ph.D. in vascular pharmacology from Temple University in Philadelphia, and received post-graduate training in Internal Medicine and Hematology at the Medical College of Pennsylvania. Most recently, he served as Vice President, Clinical Development of HaptoGuard and Vice President of Cardiovascular and Metabolism Clinical Development and Medical Affairs at Novartis, where he was instrumental in the development, approval and marketing of Diovan, the number one-selling angiotensin receptor blocker used for the treatment of hypertension and heart failure, and Lotrel, the number one-branded combination product for the treatment of hypertension. Prior to Novartis, Dr. MacNab was Vice President in Cardiovascular Development at CIBA Pharmaceuticals. |
