Malcolm Stewart is Executive Vice President of Real Estate Investments for Camden Property Trust. He is Chairman of Camden's Investment Committee and coordinates its real estate investment activities. Additionally his operating division performs third party real estate services and construction throughout the United States.
Mr. Stewart is a 1973 graduate of Texas A & M University. After graduation he served three years as a Regular Army Officer in various assignments. Prior to joining Camden's predecessor company in 1988 Mr. Stewart had responsibility for all design and construction activities at one of the largest and most active development companies in the Southwest where he began his association with Messrs. Campo and Oden. Mr. Stewart has successfully developed real estate business units such as privatized public development of office buildings hospitals governmental facilities and privatized student housing. While at Camden he has managed several real estate service support groups and has been responsible for the construction of over one billion dollars of real estate assets.
Mr. Stewart is actively engaged in community services and is past Commissioner of Youth Baseball in his community; he is on the board of the Giff Nielsen/Roger Clemens Kids Way Charity and was recently named Humanitarian of the Year for the Gulf Coast Sickle Cell Association. Additionally he is on the Texas A&M University Corps of Cadets Development Council is a mentor for its program and is a Director on the Board for the Sam Houston Area Council Boy Scouts of America. He sponsors numerous civic and community support programs such as The American Heart Association American Cancer Society Greater Houston Women's Foundation Shell Houston Open Ronald McDonald House Youth FFA program and the Texas Southern University Technology School Board of Advisors. |
