Majid is the Vice President of Engineering of Melodis Corporation. Majid is responsible for managing Melodis' technological development and the day-to-day operation of the Melodis Lab. Majid has extensive experience and knowledge in the fields of signal processing and information theory. He is one of the leading inventors of the Melodis audio recognition engine, where he contributed both to the signal processing front-end and the algorithmic back-end.Prior to Melodis, Majid served as a key technology advisor to a number of companies in Silicon Valley. Majid has a Bachelors of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from University of Toronto, and a Master's and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. His research interests include music and audio signal processing, speech recognition, database optimization and search algorithms |
