Mailson Ferreira da Nóbrega, 64, is an economist, and is currently a partner of Tendências Consultoria Integrada. He was the Brazilian Finance Minister from 1988 to 1990. He also held the position of Technical Consultant and Chief of the Project Analysis Division at Banco do Brasil; Coordination Chief of Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce; Secretary General of the Ministry of Finance and Executive Director of the European Brazilian Bank- EUROBRAZ, in London. He was a member of the World Bank’s Board of Governors, the International Monetary Fund and the Inter-American Development Bank; Head of the Brazilian Delegation at the Bilateral Trade Agreement negotiations between Brazil and Japan in the ambit of the Paris Club; Member of the United Nations Work Group on the Code of Conduct for Transnational Companies.
