Mady McSweeney is a staff attorney in the Private Clients Group of Cummings & Lockwood's Stamford office where she focuses in the areas of Estate and Trust Administration. Mady joined the firm in 1994. She received her bachelor's degree from Cornell University in English Literature, her Master's Degree from Fairfield University in Multicultural Studies and Spanish, and her J.D., magna cum laude, from Quinnipiac University, where she received American Jurisprudence Awards for excellence in Constitutional Law and Civil Procedure as well as the Martin B. Margulies Civil and Political Rights award. Prior to entering law school, Mady worked for many years in the areas of language education and psycho- and sociolinguistics, disciplines that examine relationships among language acquisition skills, culture, and the effects of cultural change on language development. |
