Madeleine brings over 25 years of both investment banking and hands-on senior-level business expertise to LudlowWard. Having served in both senior financial and CEO roles, she brings a unique understanding of how strategic and operational opportunities must be tightly linked to current and future financing strategies.
Prior to founding LudlowWard Capital Advisors, Ms. Ludlow was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cadence Network Inc., a privately-held energy services company that caters to multi-site corporations. While at Cadence Network, she was responsible for raising both equity and debt capital to facilitate growth and completed the company's first acquisition.
Prior to that position, Ms. Ludlow served as CFO of Cinergy Corp., a Cincinnati-based electric and gas utility. Her other roles included 14 years in the financial services industry - including nine years with Morgan Stanley as an investment banker. In that role she served as a principal in the private placement group and was responsible for private equity, debt and leveraged lease transactions. Successes included raising equity for start-ups, securing subordinated debt for a utility company's nuclear plant, and structuring a bridge loan for a $1 billion leveraged buyout.
Ms. Ludlow received a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Virginia. She serves on several boards, including ALLETE Inc. and Cincinnati Country Day School and formally served as a Trustee of the University of Virginia - Darden Graduate School of Business. |
