M.C. (Sonny) Jackson is senior vice president and general manager Containerboard Mill & Forest Resources division a position he assumed in January 2005.
Jackson joined Stone Container Corporation a predecessor company of Smurfit-Stone in 1978. He has held numerous production and management positions at several Smurfit-Stone mills including serving as general manager of the Uncasville CT mill for two years and the Hodge LA mill for six years. In 2002 Jackson became vice president of mill operations. As senior vice president and general manager of the division Jackson will continue to be based in Jacksonville FL.
Sonny has a BS degree in mechanical engineering from Clemson University and studied pulp and paper science at Northeast Louisiana University. |
