Mr. Gamse joined Meritas with extensive management, operations, and development experience in the for-profit education industry. Prior to Meritas, Mr. Gamse was the Chief Operating Officer of Schülerhilfe GmbH, a German K-12 tutoring company that is a subsidiary of Educate, Inc. With a network of close to 1,000 learning centers in Germany, Schülerhilfe is one of the largest franchisors and most recognized education brands in Germany. Previously at Educate, Mr. Gamse had served as Director of Strategic Planning, helping to plan and manage Sylvan Learning Center’s European expansion. As Director of Product Development for eSylvan, Mr. Gamse wrote the business plan for, and managed the development of, Educate’s online tutoring service. Prior to Educate, Mr. Gamse was Director of Development at Logicat, Inc., where he designed and launched a CPA exam review course that included live classes, books, videos, and software. Mr. Gamse has an MBA from The Wharton School and a BA in English from Haverford College. |
