Mr. Abougoush is a professional engineer with over 38 years of experience in the petroleum industry, largely in technical and executive positions. He is a graduate of the University of Alberta with a degree in chemical engineering. Mr. Abougoush is currently the president of Teknica Overseas Ltd., an international consulting and software development company.
Mr. Abougoush started his career with Amoco and has provided consulting services to numerous oil and gas companies, government agencies and financial institutions. He has in-depth knowledge of all aspects of exploration and production, heavy oil and oil sands, reserve estimation, and enhanced oil recovery. He also has extensive research and development and high technology experience and has managed many software development projects.
Mr. Abougoush has served on a number of boards including private, public and not for profit organizations. Mr. Abougoush is a member of the board of CCR Technologies Ltd., trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the trading symbol CRL. He is a partner and advisory board member of Q-OGT technology fund, trading on the London Stock exchange under the trading symbol, QOGT.L. He is also a member of the board of a private software development company based in Ottawa, Ontario
Mr. Abougoush is a member of several Canadian and international technical and professional organizations, and has completed the Directors Education Program offered by the Institute of Corporate Directors.
