A second generation member of the Modi industrial family of India, Dr. Modi has been instrumental in establishing joint ventures and technical collaborations with several US and European firms, including Rohm & Haas, Continental Tires, Champion Spark Plug Co., Phillip Morris, and RJR Nabisco.
Dr. M.K. Modi serves as Chairman of Group MKM, an amalgamation of more than a dozen profit & non-profit firms operating in the areas of manufacturing, professional services, commodities trading, education, and philanthropy. Dr. Modi also serves on the governing board of several education and government bodies, including The Indian Institute of Technology (Kanpur), Institute of Management (Lucknow), and Western U.P. Chamber of Commerce. In addition, he has served as past president of The Indo-American Chamber of Commerce.
