Lynton R. Wilson has been Chairman of the Board of CAE Inc. since June 1999.
Born in Port Colborne, Ontario, Mr. Wilson is a graduate of McMaster and Cornell Universities, where he received an Honors B.A. and M.A., and holds honorary degrees from the Université de Montréal, McMaster University, Bishop's University, University College of Cape Breton, Mount Allison University and Brock University.
A former Deputy Minister of Industry and Tourism for Ontario, Mr. Wilson also served as President and Chief Executive Officer, Redpath Industries Limited, Toronto; Managing Director, North America, Tate & Lyle PLC; Vice-Chairman of the Board of the Bank of Nova Scotia, Toronto; Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, BCE Inc., Montreal.
In 1997, Mr. Wilson was named an Officer of the Order of Canada.
Mr. Wilson is also Chairman of the Board of Nortel Networks Corporation as of April 2001 and Founding Co-Chairman of the Historica Foundation of Canada. He serves on the board of various companies and is a member of the International Council, J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. (New York).
Mr. Wilson is married to Brenda Jean Black and has two daughters and one son. |
