Lynne S. Wagner, who has devoted her entire career to nursing, is Chief Nursing Officer of Rose Medical Center.
With some 29 years' experience in nursing, Wagner had served most recently as interim Chief Nursing Officer of Rose.
Wagner earned her bachelor's degree in Nursing from the University of Virginia. She earned a master's degree in Healthcare Systems Administration with a Certificate in Healthcare Technology Management from the University of Denver.
In 1976, she became as a nurse with the Thoracic Cardiovascular Step-down Unit at the University of Virginia Medical Center. Wagner then spent two years at Georgetown Medical Center as a nurse in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit. From 1977 to 1984, she was a nurse and then a nurse manager, respectively, in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit of Washington Hospital Center. In 1984, Wagner moved to Colorado and worked as a nurse in the emergency department of Denver General Hospital, before being named nurse manager of the Intensive Care Unit at Aurora Medical Center. She started her career at Rose in 1985, spending the next five years as nurse manager of the Surgical Intensive Care Unit. From 1990 to 1997, Wagner was nurse manager of the Intensive Care Units and the Surgical Floor. In 1997, she was named Director of Medical/Surgical and Critical Care Services.
A Florence Nightingale award nominee and former Leader of the Year at Rose, Wagner is leader of the hospital's Physician Satisfaction Team. She is active in community affairs, including the Race for the Cure, Climb for the Cure, and the 9Health Fair.
