Lynn Malcolm was named Vice President, Controller in February 2005. In this role, she is responsible for the formulation and execution of the capital and expense budgets, accounting policy, procedures and operations, as well as the Accounting Data Mart, and the design, development, and operation of statistical systems used to estimate revenue, volume, weights, costs and service of mail categories.
Earlier, Malcolm served as manager, compensation starting in October 2000. In this role, she reported to the vice president, Employee Resource Management and was responsible for compensation policy for all pay and benefit programs.
Malcolm started her Postal Service career as a clerk in 1974 in the Inspection Service and progressively rose through the ranks in the Operations, Information Systems, Finance, and Human Resources functions.
Malcolm possesses a strong financial and professional background with more than 31 years of Postal Service experience. For ten of these years, she served in Capital and Program Evaluation, established the Business Evaluation group, and managed the Activity-Based Management and Rate Case Development functions. During the past 19 years, Malcolm has served in management positions in Information Systems, Finance, and Human Resources.
Malcolm holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration degree from Strayer University. She also has studied at the University of Virginia and Duke University. Malcolm was recognized with Vice President Awards in 1998, 2002, 2003 and 2004 and the Postmaster General's Award in 2001.
