Mrs. Dietz graduated summa cum laude from Texas A & M-Corpus Christi (formerly known as Corpus Christi State University) in December 1987, having earned a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting. Mrs. Dietz passed the Uniform CPA examination in May 1987, while still in school, and received her CPA license in March 1988. She was employed by KPMG Peat Marwick and two local public accounting firms in Corpus Christi prior to joining the firm in January 2001.
Mrs. Dietz has over 15 years of experience in providing tax consulting, planning and compliance services to small businesses, not-for-profits, and multi-state organizations. She has served business clients and their owners in various industries, including oil and gas, real estate, logistics and trucking, construction, engineering, medical and dental practices, entrepreneurial, and various other small businesses. Mrs. Dietz has provided services in auditing and accounting, financial budgeting and projections, and accounting software selection and implementation.
While practicing in the Corpus Christi area, Mrs. Dietz was a member of the Corpus Christi Estate Planning Council and the National Female Executives Association. She also served as an officer of the Corpus Christi Executives Association and the Harbor Playhouse, and was a board member of the Corpus Christi Literacy Council. Mrs. Dietz received an outstanding volunteer award in 1992 from the Harbor Playhouse and an outstanding committee chairman award from the Corpus Christi Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants in 1996.
Mrs. Dietz has presented tax seminars for the National Business Institute and Lorman Education Services. She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs' Tax Practice Section, the Tennessee Society of CPAs, and the Memphis Estate Planning Council. She serves on the Career Awareness Committee of the Memphis chapter of the Tennessee Society of CPAs. She is a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church, where she serves on the stewardship committee. |
