Lynn E. Schwartz brings to her practice a background in general commercial litigation and experience in the Corporate Legal Department of a Fortune 500 company. She has practiced various stages of litigation and arbitration in regard to a wide array of commercial and corporate issues, specializing in disputes relating to the collection of reinsurance recoverables. She now concentrates on assisting clients with all aspects of project development from inception through completion, including ensuring compliance with environmental review requirements, such as SEQR, and applying for necessary governmental approvals. She has also assisted clients with all aspects of their day-to-day business needs, including the formation of new business entities, drafting and reviewing a variety of contracts, and negotiating settlement agreements in lieu of litigation. Additionally, Ms. Schwartz has handled both residential and commercial real estate transactions, including the sale of real estate on behalf of a not-for-profit entity.
Most recently, Ms. Schwartz has been involved in two major Capital Region development projects: the first hotel with indoor water park in the State of New York and the Luther Forest Technology Campus.
Ms. Schwartz is admitted to practice in the State of New York and the State of New Jersey, and she is a member of the New York State Bar Association.
Prior to her career as an attorney, Ms. Schwartz was an oncology social worker, providing counseling and discharge planning services to cancer patients at New York’s Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan. |
