Lynnette Young is the Chief Operating Officer of the City of Atlanta with responsibility for the day-to-day operation and management of city government. All operational departments of the city report to Mayor Shirley Franklin through Ms. Young. Her membership on charitable and non-profit boards have included the Living Classroom Foundation; Catholic Charities of Maryland; Associated Black Charities; the Municipal Employees Credit Union; The National Aquarium in Baltimore; the Columbus Marine Biotechnology Center, the Caroline Center, the Baltimore Zoo, City Kids Art Factory (Jacksonville, Florida), Friends of the Fernandina Beach Library (Florida) and she served briefly as chair of the Housing Authority of Fernandina Beach, Florida. |
