Lynda P.S. Covello is General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Labopharm Inc. Ms. Covello has more than 15 years experience in legal practice, advising companies on commercial transactions involving intellectual property, with a specialty in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and information technology industries. She has taught and lectured on intellectual property law and technology issues in both academic and private settings for many years. Immediately prior to joining Labopharm, Ms. Covello was in private legal practice at a well-known intellectual property law firm in Toronto. For more than a decade, she has been an active member of the Licensing Executives Society (LES) in both Canada and the U.S. and LES International, serving in a variety of executive roles. Ms. Covello received her BA(Hons) in International Relations from the University of Toronto in 1982, her LLB and her LLM from York University and Osgoode Hall, in 1985 and 1992, respectively, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1987. |
