Lyle Sparks has 30 years of experience in corporate directors and officers liability matters and in business insurance and risk management. In addition, Lyle has experience with corporate finance matters, having practiced before the Securities and Exchange Commission in connection with public offerings, proxy contests and other SEC involvement of our corporate clients, and he regularly counsels corporate managements as well as insurers about how to manage a wide variety of business and professional risks.
In recent years, Lyle has handled matters involving corporations ranging in size from Fortune 500 companies to small nonprofit organizations. These matters include Boeing, Novell, and AT&T securities litigation; nuclear plant and airport terminal construction litigation; public officials liability and fiduciaries liability in connection with bond defaults; and a number of cases arising out of merger and acquisition activity. He has also been active in several large financial institution matters as counsel to underwriters of IPO coverage for banks and S&Ls and as counsel to underwriters of professional liability coverage for global accounting firms. Lyle's practice also includes extensive experience with employment practices liability and corporate indemnification.
A former English professor, Lyle published his doctoral thesis as a Woodrow Wilson Dissertation Fellow at Indiana University and taught English language and literature at Indiana University and Hanover College prior to beginning his law career. |
