Dr. Lydia Voigt consults for Noel-Levitz from Loyola University New Orleans (LA), where she is a distinguished university professor and professor of sociology. She offers three decades of experience in higher education as a faculty member and administrator. At Loyola, Dr. Voigt recently served as interim provost and vice president for academic affairs. Over three years, she implemented a common data warehouse for the campus, including an administrative budget management system across the academic affairs offices, and led the division in developing a comprehensive integrated strategic agenda and national alumni engagement campaign. She also served more than five years as associate provost, with responsibility for institutional effectiveness, national and regional accreditation, institutional assessment, and implementation of the university’s student retention initiatives, among others. As a professor, she chaired Loyola’s sociology department for 10 years and has been a faculty member for more than 26 years.
Publications, awards, and education: Dr. Voigt has authored or coauthored seven books and more than 40 publications. She received the Dux Academicus Award for outstanding achievement in teaching, scholarship, and community service in 1997 and the Diversity Champions Award in 2001. She has also received the Noel-Levitz Retention Excellence Award and an Effective Retention Program Award from the National Consortium for Student Retention Data Exchange. Dr. Voigt received her Ph.D. in sociology from Boston College (MA). |
