Lydia M. Marshall is a board member of Nationwide, a $161 billion diversified financial services organization based in Columbus, Ohio. She was elected to the Nationwide board in 2001. Ms. Marshall has served on the board of Nationwide Financial Services, Inc. (NFS), the publicly traded holding company for Nationwide's long-term savings operation since 1997. She also serves on the boards of other Nationwide companies.
Ms. Marshall was the founder, chair and chief executive officer of Versura Inc. of Washington, DC, the education loan exchange, serving in those capacities from 1999 to 2004. She served as managing director of Rockport Capital, Inc. from 1997 to 1999. Ms. Marshall was executive vice president of Sallie Mae, heading various divisions from 1985 to 1997 and a vice president of Citicorp from 1977 to 1985.
She holds a B.A. degree in political science from Wellesley College and an M.B.A., with honors, from Harvard University.
Ms. Marshall is a director of Seagate Technology. She was previously the chair of the board of CARE International and also served as chair of CARE USA. |
