Luis Cruz is president Central Texas Region for Verizon Wireless. Cruz is responsible for directing sales, marketing, operations and financial performance across the four-state Central Texas Region, a territory that includes Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, the Rio Grande Valley, Arkansas, Oklahoma and northern Louisiana.Since starting his wireless career as a business development analyst in 1988, Cruz has held a variety of positions with increasing responsibility within Verizon Wireless and its legacy companies including director, national distribution; director, marketing; director, indirect sales; director, retail distribution. He also worked on an international team responsible for winning the national paging license in Spain for Pacific Telesis International.
