Executive Director of the PT Group. Born in 1966 Luís Pacheco de Melo graduated in Civil Engineering from the Instituto Superior Técnico (1984-1989) and did an MBA at IESE in Barcelona (1990-1992).
Executive Director at PT Multimedia responsible for the Financial area since June 2002 Pacheco de Melo also belonged to the Board of the following subsidiaries of PT Multimedia: TV Cabo Portugal SA Lusomundo Audiovisuais SA Lusomundo Cinemas SA PT Conteúdos SA and PT Televisão por Cabo SGPS SA. Until November 2005 he was member of the Board of Directors of Sport TV.
Since 2004 he has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cabo TV Açoreana SA and carried out the functions of Manager of Lusomundo España SL Director of Cabo TV Madeirense SA (since 2003) and member of the Board of Directors of PT PRO Serviços de Gestão since it was founded in February 2003.
Throughout his professional career he worked for BES Investimento in Lisbon and São Paulo between 1998-2002. During this period he was an invited member of the Executive Committee of BES Investimento Director of BES Investimento BraZil and Manager of the Emerging Markets Department.
Between 1995 and 1998 Luís Pacheco de Melo worked in M&A and Corporate Finance of Financial Institutions at UBS Warburg (London). Between 1992 and 1995 he was M&A and Corporate Finance at BES Investimento. From 1989 to 1990 he worked in Civil Engineering at Construtora do Tâmega.
Now he takes on the position of Executive Director of the Portugal Telecom Group responsible for the financial area. |
