Luis Gonzalez B. has been has been Manager of the Management and Development Division of the Central Bank of Chile since January 2005.
He graduated in Business Management at the Adolfo Ibaņez University in 2003 and in Electronic Engineering (1986) and Electronic Civil Engineering (1980) at the Federico Santa Maria University.
He was Senior Consultant Manager at Value Creation Ltda in Santiago (April 2003-April 2004) prior to which he had worked for the EMEL-PPL Global Group since October 1990 as Strategic Planning Consultant (1990-1994), Commercial Under-manager (1994-1995), General Manager of ELFEC and EMEL Bolivia S.A. (1995-2000), Executive Operations Director for PPL in Brazil (July 2000-March 2003) and Vice-chairman of the Administration Council and General Manager of Transition at Cemar, the electricity distribution company of San Luis, Maranhao, Brazil (January 2000-February 2003).
Mr. Gonzalez was Superintendent of Process Control (1990), Distribution Control System Engineer (1989) and Instrumentation Engineer (1988) for the company Cape Horn Methanol Ltda in Punta Arenas.
He was Studies Engineer at EMELAT S.A. in Copiapo (1987) and previously worked for the Compaņia Chilena del Pacifico (CAP) in Vallenar (1980-1982) as Planification and Control Engineer, Production Planning Coordinator and Administrative Assistant at El Algarrobo Mines and Pellet Plant.
In the academic field, Mr. Gonzalez was Assistant Professor and Research Fellow from 1983 to 1986 at the Universidad de la Frontera in Temuco. |
