Mr. Lucio Lanza has served as the Chairman of the Board since April 2004 and as a director since November 1995. He is also the managing director of Lanza techVentures. Prior to founding Lanza techVentures he was a general partner of US Venture Partners. Mr. Lanza came to the venture capital industry with more than twenty-five years of operating experience in the electronics industry including engineering management at Olivetti Chairman of the microprocessor business segment at Intel General Manager at Daisy Systems and CEO of EDA Systems. During his tenure at USVP Mr. Lanza was also chief strategist and in charge of the M&A activity for Cadence Design System from 1990-1995. Mr. Lanza served on the board of directors of Artisan Components Inc. beginning in 1996 becoming Chairman in 1997 and continuing through its acquisition by ARM Holdings Ltd. in December 2004. He is currently a non-executive director of ARM and serves on the board of directors of several private companies including Forte Design Systems and Pharmix Inc. He holds a doctorate in electronic engineering from Politecnico of Milano.
