Lucien joined Avon as Senior Vice President, Human Resources in September 2004.
Throughout his career in human resources, Lucien has worked to ensure that HR strategies reflect and enable key business initiatives. His passion for talent and organizational development, business transformation, mergers and acquisitions as well as his experience working within a global operating model are well aligned to the strategic requirements of Avon’s transformation.
Prior to joining Avon, Lucien was the Chief Human Resources Officer for PepsiCo’s Corporate Division, where he led PepsiCo’s widely-acclaimed talent development and succession planning process, and played a key role in rebuilding the capability and impact of the overall HR function. Additionally, he provided HR leadership for the company’s Business Transformation efforts and was a key player in the successful post-merger integration following PepsiCo’s $13 billion acquisition of Quaker Oats Co. in 2001.
Lucien’s tenure at PepsiCo has also included broad international experience, with roles as Vice President, Human Resources for the Middle East, Pakistan and Africa, and as the HR Director for Central Europe. Before joining PepsiCo in 1991, Lucien held positions with British Rail and then with Mars U.K. Ltd.
