Luc Vanneste is Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer, responsible for the Finance Department.
Luc joined Scotiabank in 1999 as Senior Vice-President and Chief Auditor, where he was instrumental in developing and introducing new strategies to execute the Audit Group's mandate in a constantly changing environment. He was appointed Executive Vice-President in October 2003. Prior to joining the Bank, Luc spent 24 years with KPMG, where he served most recently as a partner, focusing on banking and finance.
Luc has been active with the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario since 1986, including serving as Chairman of the Board from 1994 to 1996. He is currently a member of the Foundation's Audit Committee and the Centre for Stroke Recovery Advisory Board.
Luc graduated from the University of Toronto in 1977 with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours), and obtained a Master of Business Administration degree (with distinction) from the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario, in 1999. He has been a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario since 1977. Luc is married, with two adult children. |
