Lowell W. Geiser of Galeton was appointed to the Tri-County Rural Electric Cooperative board of directors on Aug. 28, 2007. He represents District 9, which serves members in Abbott, Stewardson, and West Branch townships in Potter County; Elk Township in Tioga County; East Keating and Leidy townships in Potter County.
A lifelong resident of Potter County, Geiser, 49, is a partner in Forest View Evergreen Tree Farms, a family business started by his grandfather in 1928.
A graduate of Galeton Area High School, Geiser was a volunteer with the Germania Fire Co. for 18 years and served as the company’s president for several years. He served as an Abbot Township supervisor for six years, and worked in the maintenance department at St. Mary’s Carbon Co. for eight years. He has been a member of Tri-County since 1985. He is a deacon with the First Baptist Church of Galeton.
Geiser and his wife, Barbara, were married for 24 year before she passed away in March 2007. They have one son, Nathan, 21, who works with his father in the family business. |
