Mr. Woods. is a partner in the Dayton Office of Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP. He received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University and law degree from Indiana University School of Law, graduating magna cum laude. Mr. Woods practices in the areas of construction law and labor and employment law. In his construction practice he advises owners, contractors, subcontractors and design professionals on contracts, claims and other construction related matters. A significant part of his time is devoted to litigating, arbitrating and mediating construction disputes, including delay claims, contract termination, payment disputes and bid contests. In regards to his labor and employment practice, Mr. Woods consults with employers to assist in anticipating and avoiding problems, and also represents clients in litigation, alternative dispute resolution proceedings and administrative hearings when labor and employment disputes cannot be avoided. He has been involved in a wide variety of cases involving the defense of claims against employers and management in both the state and federal courts. Mr. Woods is a member of the Board of Trustees of the March of Dimes of Dayton and the Springboro Optimists Club. He also is a member of the Construction Financial Management Association of Dayton. |
