Lourens' technical expertise is particularly well suited to the mission of our company. The combination of database administration, network implementation and management, coupled with data and network security allow the ability to deliver our Subscribers the level of systems functionality and security they require. Lourens was most recently employed as an IT Manager at Neptune Technologies in San Jose, California, a company that specializes in eBusiness systems development and integration. In addition to his management experience, Lourens' specific technical areas of expertise are in systems architecture; virtual private network (VPN) architecture, security and implementation; database administration, configuration and optimization; data modeling, normalization, and relationships; and, creating indexes, stored procedures and triggers for MS SQL Server and Oracle database applications. Lourens holds an Electrical Engineering Degree from Pretoria Technical College, Pretoria, South Africa. Lourens has been running the IT Department for since April 2001. |
