C. Lourenço Gonçalves, has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Metals USA, as well as a director of the Company, since February 24, 2003. In May 1, 2006, Mr. Gonçalves became Chairman of the Board of Metals USA Holdings Corp. Mr. Gonçalves served as President and Chief Executive Officer of California Steel Industries, Inc. (CSI), from March 1998 to February 2003. From 1981 to 1998, he was employed by Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (CSN), a major steel company headquartered in Brazil, where he held several positions, most recently being Managing Director. Mr. Gonçalves holds a Masters degree from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) in Metallurgical Engineering and a bachelor’s degree from the Military Institute of Engineering (IME) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. |
