Dr. Sullivan is the former U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services, and the founding Dean, Director, and President Emeritus of the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta. Having served as Secretary of Health and Human Services under the first Bush Administration from 1989 to 1993, he managed the federal agency responsible for the nation's health, welfare, food and drug safety, medical research, and income security programs. In addition to the Henry Schein Board, Dr. Sullivan currently serves on the Boards of 3M Corporation, Bristol-Myers Squibb Company, CIGNA Corporation, Georgia-Pacific Corporation, and United Therapeutics Corporation. He also recently retired from the Board of Directors at General Motors Corporation after serving for eight years, and from Household International after nine years. |
