Mr. Coppedge's practice consists primarily of the defense of companies in commercial and contractual disputes. He has handled a wide variety of commercial cases ranging from construction litigation to products liability litigation. He has also been involved in defending investment and brokerage firms in cases dealing with broker/customer disputes and variable annuities. He has tried a number of cases in state and federal courts throughout Alabama as well as Tennessee. Representative Cases: Sucessful prosecution of case in Federal Court representing cell phone tower company against City of Huntsville under Federal Telecommunications Act. Won a defense verdict in Federal Court for Louisiana company brought by local investor in case regarding limited partnership investments. Represented Pennsylvania company in an appeal to the Alabama Supreme Court which ultimately ordered a new trial in a case regarding royalty payments where a large jury verdict was rendered. Represents international construction company in lien litigation regarding disputes arising out of construction projects at Mercedes and Hyundai automotive plants in Alabama. Successful defense of company from Northern Ireland in three week jury trial in Federal Court regarding purchase and sale of local business. Outside the Office: Mr. Coppedge and his wife, Donna, are the parents of two girls, Mary Mac (3) and Libby (1). While not chasing his girls, Mr. Coppedge enjoys golf and is an avid college sports fan.
